Dempster Highway Roadtrip - Yukon to NW Territories

For all of those who love going north (I mean far north) - The Dempster Highway is for you! The Dempster Highway is Canada's only all weather road into the Arctic Circle. If you are so inclined, you can in winter when the road is extended 190km north and uses an ice road to get to Tuktoyaktuk.

Things to see and do:
  • Don't leave your camera behind - this is nature photographers paradise. There are many 'pullouts' on the highway so take your time!
  • See Tombstone Territorial Park
  • See Moose, Grizzlies, Caribou, Peregrine Falcon, Gryfalcons, and Golden Eagles from this road.
  • Go Hiking
  • See the Northern Lights
  • Reach the Arctic Circle at Kilometer 403 (Mile 250)
